Is the USB port on the HyperX Alloy Elite Keyboard fully functional?

Yes. The USB port on the back of this keyboard is a fully functional USB 2.0 port. It can be used for charging as well as data transfer or a mouse. One of the connectors on the keyboard cable (black) is for the USB port on the keyboard and the other (white) is for the keyboard itself.
