The in-line button on my Cloud Earbuds will not mute my microphone during live communication

The button on the in-line control cannot mute the microphone. The following controls are available through the in-line button. Single Press - Pause/Play audio file. Double Press - Skip to the next track. Single Press - Answer incoming telephone calls.
